Academic Policies
The purpose of this information is to ensure that all students have a detailed understanding of the various academic policies and procedures they are expected to abide by.

The Dean of Students Office supports the educational goals of Rutgers-Camden by facilitating processes that: assist students in making better choices in regards to their behavior, provide an outlet for community members to address issues in conflict, and aid in the creation of a safer, more inclusive, learning community.
 
The Office of Disability Services provides the necessary tools, resources, and support for individuals with disabilities to become responsible decision-makers and self-advocates in charge of their future. This office helps students register for services and accommodations.
 
The mission of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion is to promote academic and personal growth, raise awareness, and support strategies to advance inclusivity directives that build and maintain an inclusive campus community. The requirements for graduation consist of the General Education Requirements, which will be the same for all undergraduate programs on the Rutgers-Camden campus, plus additional specific Graduation Requirements that are determined by each school or college. Honors College

The Office of International Students & Global Programs is home if the Learning Abroad program, Global Citizen Project, the Study Away program, and provides support and services for international students.
 
The Learn Center offers a wide range of services, including one-on-one tutoring, peer-led review sessions, academic coaching, learning assistance, writing assistance, academic support, and organizational and study skill workshops. Students can make tutoring appointments by visiting the Learning Center’s website.
 
The Paul Robeson Library offers students a learning and study environment where they have access to library faculty support, online services, computer labs, study group rooms, and more!
 
To help make your student’s transition to college life as smooth as possible and your college experience rewarding and productive, we offer support to new and current student veterans and Reserve component personnel through a variety of programs, services, and resources on our campus.
 
The One Stop Student Services Center is a one-stop resource for answers to school-related questions, such as assistance with bill payment, cashier, financial aid, payment plans, records, registration, and student accounts.

         For information on diploma orders, final exam schedules, name/address changes, transcript request, Veteran’s Affairs Certification and more.

The Wellness Center at Rutgers-Camden is a comprehensive primary care facility that offers accessible, convenient, quality medical and mental health care. View this section for information about the health insurance available to your student and required immunizations.

Rutgers University requires full time and ALL F&J Rutgers visa sponsored students to waive or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan each semester. The Health Insurance premium is automatically added to the term bill each semester. 
 
If you have health insurance, you can complete a waiver form to get the premium removed from your term bill, or if you do not have health insurance, complete the enrollment form.  View deadline dates, rates, specific contact information and complete the waiver/enrollment forms.

Go Scarlet Raptors! Rutgers-Camden is an NCAA Division III school that offers 16 sports programs and our Athletic and Fitness Center houses top-of-the-line cardio and strength-training equipment, a resistance pool, team locker rooms, recreations programs, and much more!
 
Our campus has over 40 clubs and organizations on-campus, as well as Greek organizations that your student can join to get involved on campus!
 
Through the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Affairs, there are 11 fraternities and sororities ranging from the "traditional" to historically African-American, Latino/a, and Multicultural for your student to become a member of and create lifelong friendships, strengthen academic skills, grow through leadership. 
 
Students of all religions are welcome at Rutgers-Camden! Our University supports an open forum for student religious life through student organizations dedicated to religious and religious-cultural interest, recognized campus ministries, and the Interfaith Advisor Council promoting an inclusive atmosphere.
 
The New Student Orientation Program includes an Advising and Registration date, Everfi Online Orientation modules and Academic Integrity Tutorial, and Raptor Welcome. These steps are designed to provide your student with essential information, an introduction to the concept of college culture, language, and expectations, and to assists students in navigating buildings, services and resources available at Rutgers-Camden.
 
The Office of Student Involvement serves student organizations and their student leaders through advisement, organizational development programs, and support services.
