The Rutgers University-Camden New Student Orientation Program is a dynamic and interactive set of mandatory sessions that provide essential information, introduce concepts of college culture, language, and expectations, and assist students in navigating buildings, services, and resources available to them at Rutgers University-Camden.  These programs include:
 
Online Orientation 
This is a self-paced course in Canvas, a digital learning platform. The Online Orientation is a series of modules that help students prepare for their advising appointment and learn about academics, requirements, campus policies, and services. Students must complete the course prior to their advising appointment. 
 
Mandatory Training & Prevention Modules 
Modules are in your Online Orientation Canvas course site and will be unlocked in early August. An email will be sent when modules are available. 
  • Training & Prevention Modules are a comprehensive prevention program for new students. Courses consists of topics, such as Substance Misuse Prevention, Diversity & Inclusion, Sexual Violence Prevention, and Mental Well-Being. 
  • Academic Integrity Tutorial is a tutorial that will familiarize students with our academic integrity concepts and practices here at Rutgers University. Students are required to affirm that they understand the policy and agree to abide by it in all their academic work. 
Scarlet Raptor Welcome
 Raptor Welcome is the interactive on-campus orientation program for all new students that takes place on August 31, 2023. The program gives students a chance to meet their fellow Rutgers-Camden Scarlet Raptors and participate in a variety of activities to prepare them for their college experience.
 
Welcome Week
A full week of fun events and programs that will introduce you to our many student leaders, staff, and services on campus.  You will have the opportunity to meet new people, learn more about the campus and the resources available to you, and ways to get involved on campus. Welcome Week takes place during the first week of classes on campus.
