WELCOME TO OUR RUTGERS CAMDEN COMMUNITY
All of our Offices under the umbrella of Student Affairs at Rutgers-Camden encourage parents to take a supportive role in your student’s education. As such, we encourage you to become knowledgeable about our campus and the many opportunities and services that we offer to our students
Feel free to browse our various departments linked from the Student Affairs Page. We take a lot of pride in helping our students to have a successful experience at Rutgers-Camden, developing skills and leadership experience, building memories which will last a lifetime and in taking our students to the next level – that rewarding career and / the pursuit of graduate / professional study.
And feel free to contact our staff if you have questions about Rutgers-Camden and our services.
Consistent with its mission on educating students, Rutgers treats its students as adults and supports them as they develop individual responsibility, maturity and independence. We also understand the important relationship that students have with their parents and families and strive to work with families as partners in helping students find the successful paths to their future. Rutgers respects the trust between students and parents and families, and is committed to maintain open communication with everyone regarding navigating through college and Rutgers. In that vein, I am always happy to talk to family members to explain policies, procedures, timetables and services offered by our campus. 90% of students with difficulty are having difficulty in understanding how to handle something and how to follow a procedure that may be difficult to comprehend. In those instances when a phone call is not sufficient, I would be happy to meet with the student and the family to explain and discuss things together. If you are not sure how to help your student, you may also feel free to contact me as a starting point to the process.
Feel free to email or call me to talk about an issue (Mary Beth Daisey, Dean of Students, 856-225-6050, daisey@camden.rutgers.edu). Thank you for entrusting us with your students.
